The Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Consortium Overview

An interinstitutional, intercollege and interdepartemental alliance of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology researchers and laboratories

Hawaii Universities

Many groups at the University of Hawaii, Hawaii Baccalaureate Universities and Hawaii Community Colleges are interested in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology; all have people, tools, websites, events, projects and resources. This consortium was created to facilitate research, education, and to promote collaboration in the fields of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology in the state of Hawaii. This website provides a unified view of the different laboratories research objectives and projects, a fast and easy access to the members, and Bioinformatics tools and resources. This consortium is rapidly evolving and we hope to add new members interested in this initiative. If you think your lab or yourself could benefit from and/or help the consortium, please contact us.

Workshops

Starting in FALL 2008 INBRE Bioinformatics core will present different bioinformatics workshops. Proposed subjects: Perl programming for Bioinformatics. Microarrays data Analysis. NCBI toolbox. Phylogenetic analysis. Assembly and analysis of genomes and metagenomes. A schedule will be available soon.
